Dropping packets is a Server CPU issue

In any case, unless I've missed something, the OP said they were running 2 x
40 player 66 tickrate SRCDS

If that is the case, sv_maxrate 10000 & sv_maxupdaterate 50 is woefully
inadequate.

But I am assuming that people on this list have paid attention to how much
bandwidth a client is capable if using on a 40 player 66 tickrate server.

In the end they are your servers, do whatever the hell you want.
