#1: reply, there is no server side fix for this noob. Only client fixes. #2: "Anyone else have an idea as to why this is happening to my servers alone? Do I need to provide more information?" #2: reply, what makes you think its only your servers that this is happening too. oh yea becasue your a noob, relying on other noobs to tell you that its only happening when they try to connect to your server. rofl. I'll bet you haven't even tried googling "Error verifying STEAM userID ticket" and going through all of the links. anyway as we all already know its a steam thing and they have to fix it there auth servers. go for a walk...... -------Original Message------- From: James McKenna Date: 10/21/06 17:16:57 To: hlds@list.valvesoftware.com Subject: Re: [hlds] Error verifying STEAM userID ticket Let's review: "...and the steam support page has client fixes... but everyone can connect to other servers just not..." Once again, I've read that. The steam status page was updated 14 minutes prior to me viewing it. I checked the steampowered forums with a search but couldn't find a solution due to it "page cannot be displayed." It didn't appear the steam network was down. So, I continued on to troubleshooting persistent steam userid ticket errors. So, my players restarted steam. That didn't fix it. My players deleted the various files. Guess what? That didn't fix it. Like I said in my last message (which you clearly didn't need to read explaining your less-than-helpful response with a rather condescending tone) my players can connect to every other server except mine. Restarting my servers fixes the issue temporarily. Anyway, thanks for the help, kyle. Anyone else have an idea as to why this is happening to my servers alone? Do I need to provide more information? ----- Original Message ----- From: "kyle" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <hlds@list.valvesoftware.com> Sent: Saturday, October 21, 2006 4:39 PM Subject: Re: [hlds] Error varifying STEAM userID ticket > -- > [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] > It took me exactly 20 seconds to find this info.
