True... Christ was most likely born in the spring... The Christians chose to celebrate the birth in late December so their celebration would coincide with the pagan festival of the winter solstice, when the Sun reaches it's lowest point in the southern sky. The Sun's ascendance back up was cause for celebration in the Roman Empire so Christians converted the birth of Christ into a Stealth holiday.
I know nothing about Kwanzaa other than few people in America ever heard the word before approx 10 years ago. I think it was/is and African celebration and we do tend in this country to celebrate many of the same holidays of the various places our ancestors came from.
