Although I am very hopeful for such a plugin to come alive, I have not seen any
activity for a long time :(

Actualy, the Mani admin moderators/devs are working on a plugin that is based
off of Sourcemod and Metamod. Metamod is in beta at the moment for the orange
box but when it is finished it will support Sourcemod and when they finish Mani
for sourcemod it will be almost the same thing as css mani but better features!

You know as well as I that Rcon is an option but a hassle. Why can't valve
create a plugin like Mani or Beetlesmod that's included in the base server
install. Heck they could buy out Mani if it's to tough to create their own
admin tool.

You can easily admin tf2 beta servers, its called rcon. I do agree they

Every new server release and most updates cause the same problems. We can't
admin the server because the plugins no longer work. We have to troll the
forums for shreds of help. I too got tired of the never ending hassle and
time investment for very little gain. Now I'm not dealing with it anymore I
shut my valve servers down. There is a life out there who would have known.

I think this is the question we all should be asking" Why can't valve
release software or plugins to admin our servers?" They have all the code
who better to design it than the creator. Why do we have to rely on 3rd
party software to keep the servers secure and the bums out? I just don't
understand why they have no tools to help us out. Heck we host their
servers with no cost to them. Do they think that we still play on Lans
where you now everyone. Just incase you haven't heard valve we're now on
the internet and there's a lot of bums in cyber space. Not being to admin
the Beta TF2 servers where I play has really sucked!

Jason

Ps:(Yes I'm still on the list incase things change and I decide to fire them
back up.)

This all seems so arcane. Right from the beginning, more than 10 years ago
we had to make our servers this way and it's always the same; hours and
hours of work figuring how to make the stuff work properly.

I still can't get mine up after 4 hours time yesterday. I keep getting
"SteamUserStats could not be located in the dynamic link library " when
starting my server... getting fed up.
