I agree 100% with Don, but you probably won't see it happen. The thing to note is that to increase the probability that somebody will read/respond to your posts is:
+ to keep the quoted content to a minimum + to respond ABOVE the quoted text, not below. People will continue to do what is most comfortable to them, but I generally don't read beyond the first 10 or so lines unless the message calls for that.
