Best practice is to take immediate snapshot and dump to capture data, you can then deal with the fool anytime thereafter. This little bind will open your console, run status and gather id's, dump info to text file, take a snapshot of console info.. close your console and return you into the game.
Now the choice is yours, continue playing or take action. //Status Command with Console Dump alias dump "status; wait 100; condump; toggleconsole; wait 100; screenshot; developer 1; echo <echo> dump complete...; wait 100; developer 0; toggleconsole" bind "yourkeyhere" "dump" ----- Original Message ---- From: steve grout <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Half-Life dedicated Win32 server mailing list <hlds@list.valvesoftware.com> Sent: Monday, April 14, 2008 8:51:05 AM Subject: Re: [hlds] Name Changing we use hlsw along with source mod / beetles mod.. and use the global player ID database quite a bit. aslong as you've got it collecting the logs, it dont matter how many times or how fast they change the name.. aslong as you can remember 1 of the names they used just go find it in the database and ban via the steam id :) we have had this happen to us Spencer 'voogru' MacDonald wrote: > If they keep changing their name, it's safe to assume they are a cheater or > at the very least, doing something naughty. > > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Timothy L Havener > Sent: Monday, April 14, 2008 2:25 AM > To: Half-Life dedicated Win32 server mailing list > Subject: Re: [hlds] Name Changing > > I do, bro.
