I can also confirm that all of our 32 player servers have not been hit by
lag that was non-existent before. My players (about half of which are paying
customers) are understandably upset, and my in-box is being hammered with
complaints about TF2 server performance since the update. I should note that
we run very high-end hardware, with one 2.6 Ghz core and 2GB of memory
dedicated to each TF2 instance, and never saw any server-side lag prior to
this patch. In addition, our sv_maxrate has always been set to 30000.

Couple that with the fact that the intermittent timeout on map change bug
still rears it's ugly head several times per day, AND we've been hit by the
DDOS exploit/attack (until a community member came up with a fix), and I
have to wonder exactly what WAS fixed in the last patch?

Honeslty, why keep on working on new content, when there are so many
game-breaking bugs that need to be addressed? I hate to see the performance
of everyone's TF2 servers once they are getting hammered with even more
traffic by achievement-seekers if the Scout update is released without
fixing these glaring problems with the underlying game engine.
