I'm all for having fun, joking around, and the like. In fact,
sometimes I tend to do this at the expense of my work ethic, which
occasionally gets my superiors a bit miffed. Because of this, I've learned
the hard way when playing around is and is not appropriate. One of those
times is when you're vexing others.
While I don't blame you for having a bit of fun, it can be annoying to
members of this mailing list who don't wish to partake in these jests.
Whenever you reply, EVERY server owner on this list gets the message, and
when more and more people respond, server administrators who may or may not
find it amusing end up with an inbox constantly full of emails not really
about server administrating.
I don't want to kill your fun, but it might be nice if out of courtesy
you could keep these sorts of discussions somewhere else (Among friends, on
a forum, in an email not addressed to hlds@list.valvesoftware.com). That
way, you can still have amusing conversations without badgering the more
serious members of this list, who would rather hear only things directly
pertinent to running/upkeeping servers.
