While we're on the subject of hldsupdatetool, is there any way to make
it stop prompting for privilege escalation on Windows? My server test
account has has Full Control for the directory hldsupdatetool is in, so
there's no reason for it to require administrative privileges. It
throws a UAC prompt anyway.
Oh, and running it from an administrator cmd.exe is not an acceptable
alternative as it's an inherent security risk.
Which reminds me of why I run Linux servers in the first place...
hldsupdatetool runs fine without root permissions over there.

hldsupdatetool -game valve
This installs plain ordinary half-life
when starting the sever, valve is the default game type:
hlds -game valve -console
If you want Opposing Force, replace 'valve' with 'gearbox'
I strongly recommend using -console flag when starting the server and
dispensing with the worthless gui.

Still having trouble with this. Missing something I expect. When
I run the hlds, the game 'Half-Life' is still unavailable from
the 'Game' drop-down-list.
I have 'Deathmatch Classic', 'Day of Defeat' etc, but no 'Half-Life'
Help!
