Setup a filter and be done with it.
I think it's wise to redirect all mailing list traffic to a separate
folder, that's what I've done. All official replies have alerts and
anything else either meets my junk folder (that scam mail for example,
although thanks to whoever replied to it) or gets moved into a different
folder altogether (with no alerts).
