Well, if you have it planned, that's good enough.  Just as long as it
doesn't take 6 months to a year, then a 3rd party should work on one.  On my
Windows 2003 server, I prefer running it as a service, something not
supported directly by Steam yet.  For that, I use the hldsupdate windows
tool to update the server and then the FireDaemon service to run the server
as a service.  I really don't see why you couldn't provide all of this into
a single service solution for Windows admins.  On a server update requiring
the server to restart, you could even just have the service restart.
