The isp I use here in nyc, www.inyc.com, provides co-location. I couldn't even guess what they charge but their network is run from level3.com which has always given me great ping times. Worth checking out at least I guess.

I'll find something.. The best place I found (reference for the rest of you) is to find a company colocated somewhere who is paying a flat rate to a good provider and then purchasing 1/2 a rack and spare bandwidth.. its like priceline for bandwidth.. they would rather sell it to you then pay for it to not be used.. The site is on postnuke, its a phpnuke fork without the unused java overhead and better cpu usage on webservers.. it also is very security focused.. basically instead of 1 person writing it.. its opensource and people who are great in different areas are making it better.. if you run phpnuke, I recommend switching before your users find the security holes in it.. Nooo, damn this weak recession to hell -- our economy is fine :( I download hella fast from your server now with my DSL... who knows what will happen if you switch providers. I really like your site (phpnuke?) as well.. you keep up with the news unlike a lot of places.. and your servers rock! I really don't know of any places in NYC, I'm from Chicago here, but look for someone who goes through the major backbone out there. Best of luck. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bryan Socha" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, September 28, 2001 12:03 PM Subject: DAMN COLO COMPANIES... > > I just got told from a rep from cisco that there are 3-4 nationwide > providers who started with colo facilities that are going to be > closing next > week with no notice.. > > Does anyone know of a company or colo place that has great rates in > NYC (must be in, outside is too laggy overseas)...
