s_eax 0 = no positional audio
s_eax 1 = full positional audio

Will you stop going with the head into the wall and just listen to what we
tell you?

EAX enables positional audio, and I don't know about other games, but half
life will not give you any positional 4speakers without enabling either eax
or a3d.

It's as if you said you can get sterovision (depth illusion) just by wearing
anaglyphic glasses, even when you don't enable stereo drivers.
