leon/eric, any chance of a beta server being released that sets the default
rate etc settings to their max/optimal settings? I help run a decent sized
lanparty, and am always amazed at there sometimes being choke in certain
circumstances, esp in tourney situations..

Well, being chokeless is obviously better, but a little bit of choke
here and there is probably not going to be that big of a deal,
especially with HL's prediction, lag compensation, etc. There is only
so much that can be overcome, though, so if there is a decent amount
of continuous choke going on, it will be noticed.

At least since the very first patch to Half-Life and perhaps in the
original shipping version as well.
