err..... how many hlds beta releases has valve sent out?  since last
release? quite a few.  and as to the ns, its probably just that most of the
major fixes they needed to make were only server side, which controls most
of what is going on w/ hl games.

besides, like i said, this is why valve made steam, to allow them to easily
send out wide spread updates.
