Sounds like you are running 3.1.1.1 with it's anti DDOS settings that cause HLSW to not see it sometimes. Am I correct?

Last week i installed another server, running redhat 9.0 with a SMP kernel. the hardware is a P4 2.4 gigahertz with a 800 mhz FBUS and hyperthreading. To take advantage of this, linux simulates 2 processors. My problem is this runs-pauses-runs-pauses thing because i can play on the server, however if i look it up in HLSW i see there is a server, but i cannot see what kind of game, what kind of map is playing, etc. I am not sure but i think this weird behaviour has something to do with it, also customers report they can't connect sometimes or they dont see the server at all. Now another thing is if, if i use qstat to check out the server, that will work fine. Does anybody else experience this kind problem ? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Michael Ressen" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, July 15, 2003 7:18 PM Subject: [hlds_linux] FreeBSD 5.1 SMP + Hyperthreading Results > > Another thing that is noted is that while hlds is not a multithreaded or > SMP aware process, it doesn't continually run, so it > runs-pauses-runs-pauses.
