aye. bullshit (tm) indeed. on various occasions VALVe representatives have already said steam will remain a free service, and hl/cs/tfc/dmc/ricochet/etc will not require anymore moneys than the cd key purchased earlier.
Let's hope it stays this way. As of current, Valve is probably in dire need for some cash flow and cashing in on the millions and millions already existing customers seems like an easy way out if you're a business guy and not in any way affiliated to the "community".
