LOL you really dont get it. Content servers are picked on localisation /
speed. If this is cached and I move ISP's then this information could
now be wrong even if new Content servers are added this could
be invalidated.

Not really relavent as the port need to be open to query to servers
as well. So restricting to the ip's of which can vary anyway will just
break things. I hope for your sake your not doing this.

Yes DNS needs to know but that is a central store which can be easily
updated if required. It incorporates good redundancy to help ensure
that the things that you have mentioned are not an issue. So all in all
none of your arguments for fixed IP's have any benefits that myself
or the others on this list that have responded can see.
