A bit OT, but really, Valve, that is really really bad business. Assuming that article is true, you really should have allowed option A. Be nice, kiss butts, give them an out, and you will likely get more business (and money). My responce to a nicer approach would be to purchase the necessary licenses. My responce to a letter like that would be for Valve to go to hell and I'd hire my own attorney and duke it out in court.
