First of all, how did I get unsubscribed from this list?
Secondly, I'm trying to install the linux hlds server. I run steam:
steam -command update -game valve -dir /fat-e/HellServer -username ooksserver -password <my password>
And it does this:
Checking bootstrapper version ... Getting version 10 of Steam HLDS Update Tool Downloading. . . . . . . . . . . tar: steam: Cannot change ownership to uid 1000, gid 100: Operation not permitted update failed, please run "tar xzUf LinuxHldsUpdateTool_10.pkg" to install the latest steam binary
I try to tar xzUf LinuxHldsUpdateTool_10.pkg and I get the same message about changing ownership.
What is it trying to tell me, and/or what am I doing wrong?
