i use steambans for half a year or so now and for sure it is a very nice tool/blacklist/community. vac is rarely up to date and it would be very nice if valve could do the same job as steambans besides the anticheat-things. or at least cooperate... but as always i guess this list now says "boo" to me ;) like when i asked for a vac-banned-id-database (really a bad idea, isnt it? that would make it too easy to identify new accounts of ex- or still-cheaters)

The systems work together fine, from what I understand. So steamban can add another layer of protection, for what its worth. Also I hear the steamban team does try their best to avoid false positives, but frankly I trust my own eyes more than theirs.
