My advice... roll back to v24. This version is stable, and the load cuts in
half.

With v29: loads well above 4.00 on a dual xeon (6 CS servers)
With v24: loads around 2.00 on a dual xeon (6 CS servers)
all servers filled to the max.

Valve, please roll-back to v24 and start building from there. The last 5
releases of hlds have been nothing but
trouble. The last stable version was v24.

Just wanted to report that the latest version of hlds running under
FreeBSD 5.x/6.x still crashes on client connect and drop.

Never the less the startup crashes seems to be gone. In return to that it
have dropped from ~70 crashes per day to ~35.
