My advice... roll back to v24. This version is stable, and the load cuts in half.
With v29: loads well above 4.00 on a dual xeon (6 CS servers) With v24: loads around 2.00 on a dual xeon (6 CS servers) all servers filled to the max. Valve, please roll-back to v24 and start building from there. The last 5 releases of hlds have been nothing but trouble. The last stable version was v24. ----- Original Message ----- From: "kama" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <hlds_linux@list.valvesoftware.com> Sent: Friday, December 09, 2005 11:03 PM Subject: [hlds_linux] FreeBSD + hlds still crashes.
Just wanted to report that the latest version of hlds running under FreeBSD 5.x/6.x still crashes on client connect and drop. Never the less the startup crashes seems to be gone. In return to that it have dropped from ~70 crashes per day to ~35. /Bjorn _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux
