This is fairly simple. It doesn't matter which binary you use. The binary loads a DLL/SO in order to run the game. Installation of metamod tells the binary to load metamod instead, then METAMOD loads the normal game DLL/SO.
Your server is reporting that it cannot load metamod. As a result, metamod can't load the normal game. It's reporting that the file cannot be found, so I'd check your addons folder. A) Reinstall metamod. B) Revert liblist.gam back to normal, which I will 99.9999% gaurentee will fix the issue. > Hi, I installed an 80G HDD four days ago, and every since, this server > will not even start, it crashes on start up every time, I know its got > issues with the metamod and adminmod stuff, but that shouldn't affect > the server starting up as it never has before,. > I tried as you can see add the line -binary ./hlds_i486 to the start up > line, but that didn't help at all it still crashes.
