Bought a biggy machine. I now going to host Source games on a 2 x dual core opteron. I´m going to install Ubuntu 6.10 server AMD64. It comes with a Linux 2.6.17-10 kernel. Does anyone here know how it was compiled with regard to the hz? I know I need a kernel compiled with the 1000hz option to get a good fps rate, should I compile a new kernel?
