I'm seeing the same thing -- my Linux update client downloaded a new client.dll and server.dll, but its server_i486.so is still dated July 2. It looks like Valve forgot to ship out an updated server_i486.so. I hope that someone at Valve sees this and fixes the situation on Tuesday.
