Was there a recent update? Sometimes I find my server failing an update but trying to start anyways - getting stuck in a crash loop. Try to re-update and worst case scenario do a -verify_all just to make sense.
Does this happen with plugins installed? According to the crash error (something about cannot connect to server, never saw that one) it doesn't look like it would be the root problem but it's something to consider none the less.
