Not wanting to be a dick, but all the complaining will get you nowhere.

Personally I cannot think of any company that communicates so much with the
server ops as VALVe and that provide so much long term support on their games.

Granted, it can be highly frustrating sometimes, but it always works out in the
end, and their main goal always seems to be to please as much people as
possible, which is fine to me.

On days like this when stuff is unstable and half working, I just inform the
community and go mind me some other business. Things will get sorted after the
weekend.

I believe the discussion of an alternative to the mailing list was discussed
early in the year but a forum based system wouldn't sit well, at least of
course unless it was a requirement by Valve to prove ownership or
administration privileges of servers unlike the mailing list that everyone
and their brother has access too.

But I too like yourself did not want to really get involved in the MvM event
as 95% of my servers run something else and are 100% unstable at the moment.
Hurts player count, hurts server reputation for being stable just to be
light on criticizing the current situation.

My biggest beef right now is here we are 1pm Saturday afternoon and not
another word on fixing the current problems which apparently due to a failed
attempt still haunt us and we will likely not see a patch till Monday at the
earliest.

What I find sad about this particular event, is that I am not even trying to
participate in any of this MvM crap. I have no interest in it at all. I
also have no interest in any of the match-making crap either - and am not
trying to participate in that at all either. That's my own real complaint.
Beyond that, "its a game, get over it" I am generally/mostly/usually Ok
with.

I really do hate this whole mailing-list format for discussions too. I find
it confusing to read through, and the formatting on everything seems gets
really weird further into the threads - making it hard to read.
Consequently, as far as those other "400+" messages that had been mentioned
(probably a slight exaggeration) ... I read maybe half a dozen. I wish
this was via some forum-type system. I'd settle for a Steam Community
forum. Although I suspect if it was on Steam Community non-server operators
will be filling it up with less relevant discussions.
