Hi, My TF2 server was out of action for a couple of weeks because it was failing to update, and giving "Server is running older version of protocol" on connect. I managed to get it to update with ./steam -command update rather than using the -autoupdate flag, but now it won't start at all.
Details: --------------------------------------------- srcds@vs2435:~$ ./steam -command update -game tf -dir orangebox/ -verify_all ... >HLDS installation up to date. srcds@vs2435:~$ cd orangebox/ srcds@vs2435:~/orangebox$ ./srcds_run -game tf -dir . -debug Auto detecting CPU Using SSE2 Optimised binary. Enabling debug mode Server will auto-restart if there is a crash. Console initialized. Segmentation fault (core dumped) BFD: Warning: /home/srcds/orangebox/core is truncated: expected core file size >= 18948096, found: 2211840. I have: installed build-essentials (according to some facepunch/gmod thread) done an aptitude upgrade in case glibc was out of date or something deleted orangebox/bin, installrecord, clientrecord and re-verified reinstalled srcds in a different folder (still same error on launch. None of these seem to have worked. Advice appreciated!
