I've had my server auto-updating with a simple script for some time now, but I've noticed as of this past week or two that two maps (so far) cp_mountainlab and plr_hightower, will kick everyone from the server with the error of: "Your map [maps/plr_hightower.bsp] differs from the server's."
To the best of my knowledge, I have updated TF2 as so: ~/steamcmd # ./steamcmd.sh Redirecting stderr to '[...]/Steam/logs/stderr.txt' [ 0%] Checking for available updates... [----] Verifying installation... Steam Console Client (c) Valve Corporation -- type 'quit' to exit -- Loading Steam3...OK. Loading Steam2...OK. Steam>login anonymous Connecting anonymously to Steam Public...Success. Steam>force_install_dir ../tf2ds Steam>app_update 232250 validate Initial App state (0x4) installed App state (0x20104) validating, progress: 0.00 (0 / 4773359478) [...] App state (0x20104) validating, progress: 99.04 (4727649902 / 4773359478) Success! App '232250' already up to date. Things I've Tried: - Deleting offending maps from server AND client, validating cache/install on both. - Running app_update 232250 with 'validate' multiple times. Notes: - Other maps work fine. - The time I deleted the maps, then ran app_update validate, it redownloaded them. On a hunch I ran the same command again, and it started downloading more stuff. Now it no longer downloads anything, just finishes the validation and says it's installed. Has anyone seen a problem like this before? -- - Gordon Reynolds _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: https://list.valvesoftware.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux
