If you saw it on either SteamDB or SteamPing, it might be a mystery. However, the SteamDB page for 550 ( http://steamdb.info/app/550/#section_history) only shows "Changed changenumber – 267715 › 272381" and no branch updates. Usually, this means that only something server-side was changed in the changelist 272381 involving L4D2, meaning that the game's actual content wasn't updated.
