Hi David, I used the same config files on both servers with one exception, and that's the hostname. To be sure I copied the entire cfg directory to the other server and tried it again, with no success. In the end I decided to reinstall the entire server, which somehow has fixed the problem. No idea where the root cause has been, but it's solved now. Thanks anyhow for the suggestions! Cheers, Saint K.

On my FoF server, sv_pure and sv_pure_kick_clients were both set to "1" in the default server.cfg file.
