The modular installation of X, that seems to be referred to as
7.0.0-rc1, does
not seem to request librpcsvc. But, this may be related to some
"configure"
option disabling the linking of librpcsvc if it is not on the target
system.

I just gave up building monolithic xorg on hlfs. Linking always fails
with ld looking for the libraries in the wrong place.
Is modular xorg any better?
