Hi, I was looking at the web site today: (http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/hlfs/news.html) and noticed the comments from 2006/10/03 about downgrading to linux-2.4 and gcc-3.4.6.
Is HLFS no longer using linux-2.6? Were there security issues with that? I know some developers I work with were not happy with gcc-4.0.3 in general (the fortran compiler, specifically).
