I posted some notes about building a uClibc/2.6 system back in September [1]. These should give you a roadmap for getting past the include problem. It isn't pretty, but it works. When I get some free time, I'll re-test and update these notes against hlfs-0.3. There are at least a couple of missing items that I know are necessary.
