I want to only display certain, hand-picked users on the user page.
The way I'm going about this is as follows--
added to the user model:
a isviewable :boolean, :default => false
so under the permissions, i tried:
def view_permitted?(field)
this.isviewable==true
end
but it doesn't like me using "this" so i tried @user.isviewable,
&@user.isviewable, and &user.isviewable... but it's a no go so far.
They all cause syntax or nil errors.
anyone know how to approach this?
