After more pondering perhaps caching the colmodel to a table isn't
such a bad idea and probably the quickest solution. Would be very
appreciative to have you test this, hopefully you can get it running
on a mac and then three hardware platforms will be covered. I like the
drop-in/makes use of context way it works currently too. Let me see
what I can do....
