I am curious about what the members typically use in production and why... For government clients we are using RHEL 5.x.
We typically use Ubuntu over here, as our main deployment platform is Slicehost. I've installed the latest version (9.10?) on several new slices without any issues. The only noticeable change has been that somebody FINALLY set / detected the backspace character, so no more hitting ^H in the terminal.
To branch out a bit, anybody else got some useful little server add- ons to make life easier? I've become a fan of etckeeper, as it makes configuring new packages a little less nerve-wracking.
