Hi all,

I have companies, people, employees and events. Events are related to
one of the 3 aforementioned models. Events are discrete actions done
against the addressee: sent a letter, called, followed up, etc.

My UI is mostly fine, except where I'm entering the addressee's name.
I used an Addressee "model": a plain old Ruby class, which for the
most part duck-types as an ActiveRecord model. I hit a roadblock in
http://groups.google.com/group/hobousers/browse_thread/thread/723eb7fb8cd33550/2002de9d21f13dc0#2002de9d21f13dc0.

I'm thinking of really making a single Addressee model which puts all
columns of all 3 models in the same table. That would "solve" my
issue. Or maybe have all my addressees would link to their addressee
model, and the search would be done against that table. Anyway, I'm
being pushed in an unnatural direction.

Any thoughts from more experienced members?

Bye!
François
