I'm trying to develop a hobo 1.3 pre 26 website with MySQL backend on KUbuntu
10.10 machine.
I have gone through most of the beta version PDF called "Rapid Rails 3 with
hobo
2011-01-10 draft up to tutorial 21".
There is mention of a way to hide the "Home" page, but it does not seem to work
right. And it says that the way described is going to interfere with normal
development.
Can anyone suggest a "better way" to do this?

Also I'm trying to develop a website that will be used on a LAN at my job
location for managing the entire business. Even if I combine 2 or 3 tables per
form, I will still end up with at least 20 "tabs". Since only 6 tabs can be
displayed at any time, I need to have some way to "switch tab sets". Perhaps I
could put buttons on the main page that will switch tab sets when clicked. Of
course only certain users should have access to some of the tabs. Another
thing
I would like to accomplish is to design a way to quickly "add" or "remove" the
right of any "category of user" or "specific user" to "view, edit, create, etc"
the contents of a particular "tab".

Another question is how can I implement a drop down for "State/Region" that
will
allow me to enter a "new item" on the fly? Let's say I've created a country of
"USA" and the usual 50 states...but I forgot about "PR" for Puerto Rico. At
least several of the people at work should be able to make that addition
without
any significant effort and certainly no programming. Example instructions?

I'm very impressed with the creativity of the dryml system. I'm looking
forward
to understanding it better.

Sincerely,

Arthur
