no on the easier solution but when approaching this you should make sure you know what cases you want to handle as it makes it a lot easier than trying to change it down the road. i.e. do you need groups? users having multiple groups/roles? a specified set of actions? item specific? etc. A bit of thought here will save a ton of headache down the road.
