Hi all, New to the group so - hi. I've decided to ditch Silverlight (and would like to loose my dependency on Microsoft) so am looking for alternatives.
After playing with hobo (by working through the tutorials) and rails I am impressed but have been having a lot of trouble with exceptions and warnings from console. The messages I'm getting are too many to discuss in one thread and of various context and problems. I'm currently running Ruby 1.9.2 p290 I have recently been trying to install hobo 1.3.0pre31 but kept getting the gem not found error - it turned out that I had added some gem sources as part of a tutorial and for some reason they were causing this problem. I removed all but rubygems.org and was then able to download the version I wanted. I then experienced a load of further issues with will_paginate and a few more... I noticed 1.3.0RC3 was made available fairly recently but when I do a gem install hobo -v 1.3.0rc3 it is not found. How do I get this gem? With the above issues in mind I'd like to get set up with an optimal configuration for my Windows 7 system. I'd prefer to learn on the latest, greatest but stable release and was hoping someone would be able to take 5 minutes to write some steps out and what version I should be running of what gems... Any help appreciated, Drammy -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Hobo Users" group. To post to this group, send email to [email protected].
