Hello holygeekers, Friends of ProjeX,

Do you know what FTP is?

 . . . I'll tell you . . .

it means file transfer protocol

and it is used (by me anyway) most commonly
to upload web pages (text and pics) to a web server

- a web server has an address or URL
- so once you have uploaded it - you have an address

and a web page - HOORAY as they say in most dimensions

Desi who I know is interested in creating tmxxine freeflow
and others who require web pages probably have
WEB Space (provided by your ISP) to which they can
add files

I know Joyce is using WS-FTP - very good too
but I would recommend this:

Open Source Freeware FTP
FileZilla
http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/

When I created my first web page
(in notepad)
and added a jpg

and after much trial and tribulation
FINALLY managed to upload using an FTP program
(your ISP will have the setting you require
and probably provided these or will email them)

WOW

I was on the Web . . .

:-)

Never be intimidated by what others are doing
keep your page simple

(ontent above form or is that content?

Here are some pages I am waiting to see :-)

tmxxine Soup (from Joyce)
tmxxine freeflow (from Desi)
Nasrudin (the tmxxine years) from Yosy
Pics from the woods (from ts)

. . . one day :-)

here is a simple intro to creating a web page
http://pages.britishlibrary.net/tooting/webdesign.html

here is our new projeX page . . .
http://www.zen45800.zen.co.uk//projex_mail_list/

and good to see Val has added an image of a Yogi
from another dimension
and a rorschach test for new arrivals at our
wacky wiki - that of course is ANOTHER way to
improve the tmxxine possibility
