Another question for yahoogroups list owners...
Yahoogroups has added a new field to the subscription form for some groups, 'comment for owner,' where the person is requested to provide information about themselves and a statement of why they want to join the list.
This new field has suddenly appeared for two of my lists, and i checked a couple of other lists and found it there as well. It seems to be automatically appearing on lists with restricted memberships.
Does anyone know how to remove this as a required field? I have checked all the settings i can find and see nothing the lets a person toggle this off. I don't want it for any of my lists - it's a little offensive, imo.
Also, i did a test subscription to one of my own lists and input a short one line sentence, and the form rejected it, saying that i had html in the message (but i don't think so...) No matter what i typed, it kept saying there was html there.
Finally, i just input a single period "." and the request went through.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
