Hi Rehana, and all,

Thanks for trying the page.
About your question....

I hope you don't mind that I also post this reply to the FreeFlow
yahoogroup, because this is really the discussion I would like to start
there:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FreeFlow/

I think we can develope many alternative streams in which resources can
flow to where they are needed. Buying and selling with use of money is
only one way. IMO there is nothing wrong with money, but.... I do think
that we emphasise too much on it, and believe too much in our dependancy
on money. The result of this is, that we hand out power to big
multinationals and commerce orientated governments; that we allow
globalism to continue on the cost of third world countries, the
enviroment and ordinary people all over the world. When we think that we
are powerless, we can easily be manipulated and forced into ways of
living, that we may not even chose and drag many others with us, and
also being dragged along.

Whereas FreeFlow is really happening all the time. And there is an
option to be focussed on THIS and rather use money in the situations
where there is really no other choise. And also to chose to use money in
a wholesome way; not in greed, not in fear and not out of sheer
lazyness. Because, sometimes it is just so easy.... When for instance
there is a choise between going to Mac Donalds or grow lattuce in the
garden, from the seeds you get from friends, pick the lattuce and
prepare a salad from it. The latter is more work. But... also healthier
and more wholesome. Because.... was there really a conscious choise to
wanna support Mac Donalds?

FreeFlow also includes money. But it is a different approach.
For instance, there have been 2 occasions in my life, where good friends
have donated a big sum of money to me; and quite some occasions where I
have been given smaller sums. This was given spontaniously and
unconditionally, out of friendship and appreciation. And I can tell you
that money that came to me in this way was worth far more to me than any
money I have earned thru working or received from the state. Money given
to me with an open heart like this, has inspired me to do really good
things, and to be generous to others as well. So.... these gifts started
a very different energy stream, based on generosity, appreciation and
compassion. Therefor giving is very sensible.

I have experienced the same with healing. As a spiritual healer I've
been through the phase that I thought I should try and make a living out
of a practice as a healer and ask people these high soms that ppl
nowadays say that every self respecting healer should ask, and that one
is not professional and self respecting when one doesn't.
Well.... immediately very poor people came on my path who were in dour
need of healing, the money thing became really painful and even went on
the cost of the flow of healing energies.
I mean.... how could i withold compassion from other beings, only
because they could not pay me? That is really a most hurtful thing one
can do to others....

I decided that what I was adviced by "professionals" about having to
charge money, is really not true for me. I can give high quality healing
for free. It being free does not go on the expense of the quality.
Such is only a self fulfilling prophesy and is merely mirrors a lack of
generosity.
On the contrary; real quality; the higest quality is exchanged by people
completely unconditionally.

So.... what FreeFlow is about, is letting energies flow generously and
abundantly in wholesome directions and taking full responsibility for this.

A google search on "freeflow open source economy" turned up hundreds of
pages, mainly about the Linux movement.
And I LOVE Linux. I am really not such a geek. And I only just started
to explore this system. But I think it is just so wonderful that all
this freeware sofware is available and is really a good alternative to
the monopoly of microsoft. Also, I just love working in Linux; it has
such good vibes, especially compared to microsoft. A reaaly different
feel; more positive and wholesome.
Linux is one way in which a Free Flow has been established and made
available for the good of people.

So what I am interested in is to apply these principles to as many
aspects of daily life as possible.
And I started the FreeFlow group, to brainstorm about this, find ways to
get resources and energies in FreeFlow and freely available for
ourselves and others, independent on things as income, status,
background, race, culture, religion, etc. Inclusive for all, who feel
inspired and empowered by such an intention.
In practice this is about being happy to give what we can give
unconditionally to those who need it and being equally happy about
receiving from others what we need and rejoyce in all the richness that
we can share with others and that others enjoy to share with us.
This can be anything, from food from our garden, to computer skills and
knowledge, to healing, to a sum of money when needed.

So the idea is to come up with as many ways as we can to let FreeFlow be
present in our daily lives and let it spread and grow in the world. To
inspire one another to live a FreeFlow life and to spread this awareness
and thus empower FreeFlow in as many people as we can.

Love,
Desi
