I am trying to convert a .SAM (this is an old Amipro format)
to .DOC (word) RTF, or OpenOfice Format?
There are ways of doing this (installing an Old MS WP
but anyone know of a freeware program
Tried using the Open Office filters
and Abiword . . .
Any ideas / possibilities welcome
There is an Amipro to Word converter available here:
http://www.gmayor.com/downloads.htm
The info i read said to "unzip it and install the file ami332.csv in the folder \Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\TextConv
You'll be able to see your amipro files when you try to open a file in Word. You'll get a warning message thast you're opening a non-word file, but then it opens up just fine."
Hope this is of some use to you.

Here is why - I want to publish Alchemical Solution
(possibly with the Green Stone)
- my existing publisher Banton never sent me a penny
- maybe it is the unfashionable Moslem name?
(probably did not want to corrupt me)

Looks really useful. Thanks for the link.

Well, i'm not into building a cookbook all by myself, HOWEVER would be willing to compile and edit one as a possible fundraiser for Laxmi Foundataion...
People could send their recipes to me and i'll do the formatting and artwork and editing and publishing.

PS
downloaded 2900 emails today (form an old account)
about 200 were sent to spam by foxmail (maybe I should have upped its
filtering to be more thorough)
About 1000 were spam
the rest were mostly Buddhist and technical newsletters
The good news is Foxmail seems to be able to handle the jobs
asked of it.
goodness! 2900 mails? that is mindboggling
PPS.
two curlchats today 1200 GMT and 1700 GMT - topic time travel
Hope to see people there today.
I will be travelling slower than usual - have broken a toe and a bone in my right foot.
