Hi holygeek,
not sure if there is a dos firewall here but freedos might know of one

Thanks for the useful link - freeDOS looks cool... What a novel way to secure a system - work in DOS, not Windows or Linux. As it says on one of the links i found there, it doesn't give hackers much to work with at all if a system only runs DOS.
:)
I did some googling on "dos firewall" and had many hits because in the context of firewalls "dos" stands for denial of service, so winnowing things down to the "other" meaning of DOS would be necessary. The link to freedos saved a lot of time.
I did look at SEAL a while back (a GUI for DOS)
seemed very good but that is all windows is a GUI for Dos
(so people try and convince me)
Yes. :)
Remember when the said, at the launch of Win 95, that dos would be history? And here we are 10 years later, still loading dos first.
One of the things i like about my Fedora (RedHat) linux server, which is a dual boot with Win 98, is that the boot time menu has only two choices - Fedora and DOS - NOT WINDOWS! Those linux guys have such a sensa hoomah!
:-)
"Hijack this" might be of interest - but back up the registery first and be careful - it is a powerful tool

The trace reports look pretty exhaustive, wow.
Speaking of the word "backup" - what do people here do about backing up their systems?
