Dear Friends,

Digital cameras are fun - they build them into phones now.

:-)

I have a very tiny cheap one - but I could never find an
XP or Linux driver (worked with Win98)

Now I've found one.

hooray.

Took a few snaps AND (and this is the trick for me) used
the included software
to filter and play

some of the images (two of me reflected are ambiguous
the image of a clock or my computer fan or water filter
might not seem like that either

the geranium and tapestry is quite obvious

You can get video cameras built in phones or use a web
cam - most still digital cameras have a video option
- might give that a go (yep even mine has it - it has a
frame rate of 4 fps.

People work differently.
Most of my images start off as black (not enough light)
I like to play :-) Others work on composition.

I would love to work on a holygeek photo wiki?
Anyone interested?

On the same web page you will also see 3 types of
animation (in order)

an animated gif (ripples)
a java applet (kaliedascope)
and a flash or shockwave anim (particles)
animations can also be done with javascript

These things are not so difficult to do (they can be
time consuming)

For example ts creates images in Pov-ray and can now
animate them and output to gif

Sam seems very intersted in composition
and so on . . .

PS. As Desi found out - flying is done with the + and
minus on the numeric keypad
