I think the flower is a sort of aster or daisy? Do you have any idea what is up with the spikey things at the end of the petals? Only some of the flowers had them and only some of the petals on some of the flowers had them. (The pic here is very lo res, sorry for the poor quality.) Also, it's a blue bee there - do you see the enormous pollen sac on his leg! I'm surprised they can fly with something that large on only one side of their body. Actually, i'm surprised that the big round bees can fly at all on those delicate small wings.
But i digress. :)
