I think ts is right, Steve.
Lob posted something called Web Monkey (for kids?) on HolyGeek earlier this year. If you search the archive you for web monkey you should find the link. It's a simple site that lists useful html commands that might be useful to you in formatting the poetry.
You can learn how to center things ( <center> text </center> ) and how to bold them ( <b> text </b> ) and how to do different fonts, too.
(Actually, one of the Web Soup pages talks about font substitutions, but i think that's getting ahead of things for formatting the poems).

i haven't had time to check it all out yet ...
and i don't know what the difference between a blog and wiki
would be either.
as for formatting ...
if it is HTML ...
then a <BR> should end the line.
ie ...
1st line of poem <BR>
2nd line ... etc.
then you shouldn't have to double space.
will this work?
