perhaps you will sing for us?

:) Maybe.

I had been thinking yesterday afternoon of doing something on the keyboards... and when i got home, Lizzie informed me that she had sold the Yamaha on eBay that afternoon! LOL. (Well, it was HER keyboards, i bought it for her as a Christmas gift last year, and she said she decided to sell it so she could buy gifts for her friends... So i'm stuck with the old keyboards, so the best i can do is a wav...)

      or Desi?

:)

Ah good - I may install winamp
      everyone seems to use it
glad to know it works with ogg

I am happy with winamp, though i use an earlier version when i can, less bells & whistles and i find it easier.

Audacity is the best. Very useful program.

===========
yes audacity - like the best open source freeware - gets better all the time
but I need to compress the ogg files  - it was about
400 meg for that message - OK for broadband
      - mmm wonder if we can use .au - those
are tiny (a unix format) supported on Windows
      very good mono files

We could try different compression routines and maybe .au would be best. As i recall, doesn't Curl also use ogg?

also Joyce I am going to use the subliminal
you created for alms as adownload

      1. Is the music public domain?

I believe it is. It is something borrowed from Panhala.
I downloaded the new version of ALMS. Went fairly quickly even on my slow dial up, and i still love the way it works - especially the birdsounds and the flute on the Zen theme and the overtone chanting and the leaping dolphins and the new peace themes. Yabba dabba do.

I still think it fixed my migraine.

Was it me installing wrong?

You are in the rare position of having ALMS on your system
When you install - you could install to ALMS SE  and that
      should cure it

I should have thought of that!

If I do more work on ALMS
I will change the default directory it installs to

Possibly not worth the effort, as would only be an issue for people who have the first version installed.

What I want to do is use the best photos or artwork and install them into ALM (but directly)
this means that I think a
technical  HolyGeek Peace Elements component would be useful . . .

I am not sure what that means, a technical HolyGeek Peace Elements component - do you mean like peaceful tech support?

Of course - it is fine

I may ask Shadow to join us too

Thanks and would be good to see Shadow.

I had one in preparation which I hoped to post after
your post but it appeared before (the rabbit post )
Not time travel I just started it before your post - so it appeared before . . .

:) I saw that! Must go by the datestamp on the draft. Maybe i should write mine and save them as drafts and then you could publish when you wish?

I liked the allum lily poem (lily or orchid?)
Is it the wild orange lily that grows in America?

Thank you.

It's called an Asian Lily here. That lily grows in a pot on my balcony. The color changes from year to year - i suspect it has to do with rainfall? Some years it is translucent salmon in color and sometimes more orangey, and yes it grows wild.

      - if so I gave it to a Guru I was visiting there (forget his name)

That's a nice flower to give a Guru.

It is a nice way to do poems

Thanks. It felt good composing it.

It was good being in CurlChat again for a while. I like the sound it plays to alert us when a new message arrives, and also the scrollable list of who is logged in. And it was cool to be able to cut & paste! Lots of useful improvements to the code. Thanks to Friedger and everyone who worked on getting them done and tested.

And thanks to everyone who has been adding to the Peace wiki. I find it inspiring.

love and peace,

joyce
